Providing loans to SMEs through digital channels will be a significant topic of discussion at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) Finance Ministers’ summit to be held in Thailand in October this year. Meanwhile, the Finance Ministry of Thailand will be holding a meeting of senior finance officials of Apec to prepare the agenda for the October summit. Bank of Thailand and the Securities Exchange Commission will draw up the guidelines to regulate the digital funding channels. Officials will also discuss the adoption of digital technology to improve revenue, stimulate the economy, pursue common fiscal policies and create payment linkage among Apec members.
