The Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), the apparel apex body in the country, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Good Fashion Fund (GFF) at a virtual ceremony to finance the SMEs in environmental sustainability. The agreement envisages GFF providing long-term loans and technical, environmental, and social expertise to the manufacturing SMEs to adopt sustainable production by investing in eco-friendly technologies and sustainable practices and solutions. Through this collaboration, GFF plans to invest US$10 million in textile manufacturing SMEs in Bangladesh during the next two years out of the total targeted funds of US$25 million.
