HDFC Bank, together with CSC SPV, the Indian government’s services delivery arm, has on July 26 launched an overdraft facility to help small business owners tide through these difficult times and bounce back as India recovers from the economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Known as the ‘Dukandar Overdraft Scheme,’ this facility will help micro and small businesses, comprising shopkeepers, traders, merchants, and village level entrepreneurs, meet their working capital needs. They would also be able to clear their outstanding payments via cheques or pay orders without any hassles.
