HDFC Bank’s micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) loan book for India’s Tamil Nadu state crossed Rs 200 billion on September 30, 2021. The bank began offering loans and advances to MSMEs in Tamil Nadu from 2004 onwards. During the last 17 years, it has supported more than 60,000 MSMEs across the state. The products offered by HDFC Bank to MSMEs in Tamil Nadu include working capital loans, overdraft against property, cash credit, export finance, and term loan, among others. The key MSME industrial sectors where loans have been granted are textiles, paper, packaging, food processing, metal, consumer durable, healthcare, among others.
