Lithuanian fintech SME Finance raises €120 million investment from EIB

SME Finance, a Vilnius-headquartered fintech lender, has raised a 120-million-euro investment from the UK-based European Investment Bank (EIB) to support SMEs in the Baltic States of Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia. As this investment will increase the availability of funds, SME Finance plans to expand its range of services and loan portfolio from the current amount of 160 million to 200 million euros this year.

Revealing this, SME Finance CEO Mindaugas Mikalajūnas said this timely and much-needed partnership between SME Finance and EIB would enable small businesses and midcaps across the Baltics to access financing more quickly and thereby overcome their cash flow constraints.
