Lithuania-based financial intermediary UAB SME Bank has inked a guarantee agreement with the European Investment Fund that envisages extending €100 million financing to Lithuanian SMEs to enable them to recover from the adverse impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. With the support of the European Guarantee Fund (EGF), the European Investment Fund will offer a 70% guarantee on a portfolio of new lending totalling up to €100 million by UAB SME Bank while also allowing the financial institution to provide enhanced conditions to its borrowers.
