Shakti Foundation, a leading microfinance institution, has teamed up with logistics platform Delivery Tiger and launched an e-Loan product for e-commerce entrepreneurs across Bangladesh. The e-Loan product allows online retailers in the SME segment to avail loans of up to Tk500,000 within seven working days. Even those online retailers who cannot get bank loans due to issues related to trade licenses or other documents can apply for the e-Loan. Since the entire process involving applying for the loan to disbursement and repayment is digitized, the loan applicants can get quick access to finance. The processing fee of this loan is lower compared to MFI (microfinance institution) standards.
