A large section of employees working in various departments in SMEs across Malaysia would prefer a hybrid working model that combines working from home on certain days and being physically present in the office on the remaining days post Covid-19 pandemic. Revealing this, Santosh Thayaparan, Head of Marketing at GKK Consultants, said this finding is based on a survey conducted amongst Malaysian SMEs. Around 80% of the polled employees preferred the work from home (WFH) option on three out of five working days per week. They wanted to come to the office and attend to communication and collaboration efforts on the remaining two days.
