The SME sector in Bangladesh needs Tk200 billion more and also policy support to enable it to recover from the losses and other adverse effects caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, according to a report presented at a webinar organized jointly by the SME Foundation and Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, Bangladesh.
The report titled, ‘The Future of SMEs after the Corona Crisis: Challenges and Opportunities’ also says that the Bangladesh government has allocated less incentives than India, Thailand, and Malaysia to the SME sector to help it overcome the losses inflicted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
