The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a US$40 million loan in a bid to improve access to credit among micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across Cambodia. This loan will also support the government’s efforts to help MSMEs recover from the Covid-19 pandemic and facilitate the implementation of reforms to boost financial stability and improve crisis management amid the health crisis. The loan approved is under the third subprogramme of the Inclusive Financial Sector Development Programme, and it aims to offer low-interest loans to promote the development of SMEs in priority sectors such as industry, services, and commerce.
