The world’s first online mergers and acquisitions (M&A) insurance marketplace for small and medium enterprise (SME) owners has commenced operations in Australia. The platform, io.insure, will bridge the massive risk protection gap in the niche M&A segment for SMEs by offering solutions for smaller M&A transactions valued up to A$50 million (US$35 million) in the initial stages and progress to bigger transactions over time. Gradually, io.insure will expand its operations to other countries by foraying into North America, Europe, Asia, and the UK. The io.insure platform has been created by insurance industry veterans Killian McDermott and David Rogers as a part of the POP Holdings group.
