The latest round of CNBC’s Small Business Survey has found that small business owners in the US are neither concerned nor prepared to handle potential cyberattacks. This is despite the US government’s warning of an elevated risk of cyberattacks since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine a few months back. While just 5% of small business owners currently perceive cyber hacks as the biggest threat to their business, around 38% have reported inflation as the most significant risk to their business right now. Meanwhile, the number of small businesses reporting the Covid-19 pandemic and supply chain disruptions as the biggest threats has declined significantly.
