E-Commerce has become an essential part of the business for 91% of SMEs in the Philippines during the past three years, and these SMEs believe that its importance will increase in the future. This has been revealed by an online research study commissioned by FedEx Express, a subsidiary company of FedEx Corp of the USA, in June and July this year. Most SMEs surveyed also believe that a readiness to embrace change will increase e-commerce opportunities and enable them to grow faster. The same study also found that the share of e-commerce in consumer purchases has surged significantly during the last three years.
