The Lahore-based Small & Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) and the Revenue Mobilisation Investment and Trade (ReMIT) Project of the UN-ITC (United Nations International Trade Centre) have introduced a self-learning e-learning curriculum for SMEs in Pakistan. The curriculum will enhance the SMEs’ technical capacities and accelerate their ability to directly export products and services, thereby facilitating their integration into the global value chains. Furthermore, it will also enable SMEs to develop their technical knowledge base and related capacities in critical thematic areas. The online curriculum will help small business owners comply with export regulations, understand Customs procedures and workflows, and financing options available for exporters, among others.
