About 92% of SMEs in India have prioritized ESG measures as part of transitioning their business models to attract positive interest from investors and consumers, according to a survey conducted by DBS and Blomberg Media Studios. The survey stated that the corresponding figure across Asia is 83%. The survey results confirm that SMEs in India desire and intend to transition their business models to comply with the responsibility standards demanded by the market. While 56% of SMEs in India direct their focus on employee well-being and 40% focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I), for 77%, waste management is a matter of grave concern.
