Alabama, a southeastern state in the US. has invited applications from small business owners to avail grants from Alabama Innovation Corporation (AIC) to fund their innovative ideas so that they can be moved from concept to commercialization. Phase I grant recipients can apply for half of their award, up to US$100,000. Phase II awardees may apply for 50% of their award up to US$250,000. The program is non-dilutive, which means the concerned business enterprises will receive funds without transferring ownership or equity. The deadline to submit applications is 5.00 pm on August 1. Winners of the first round will be notified beginning on August 22.
