As India strives to transform itself into a global manufacturing hub, many SMEs across the country have started embracing digitalization rapidly, enabling them to adopt the mantra of going from local to global. A survey conducted by Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER) has found that 80% of survey respondent SMEs that embraced digital technologies have witnessed an increase in sales and turnover after integrating with e-commerce platforms. Adopting digital tools has also accelerated the transformation needed to lift these SMEs onto a globally competitive footing by enhancing their operational excellence, cost optimization, productivity, and customer service.
