The Indian government currently nurtures a vision to double the contribution of the MSME sector to the country’s economy by realizing its full potential. Revealing this at the Global MSME Summit organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Union Minister of State for MSME Bhanu Pratap Singh said that to achieve this objective, his Ministry is striving to resolve all the related internal bottlenecks. Currently, India’s MSME sector contributes one-third to India’s gross domestic product (GDP). The CII is organizing the MSME Summit in partnership with the Ministry of MSMEs to promote the visibility of Indian MSMEs and encourage international market linkages.
