India and Mauritius have signed two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) intending to collaborate to promote their MSME sectors. SME Mauritius, the small business promotion entity of the Mauritius government, signed the agreements with the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI) located in Ahmedabad and with the National Institute for MSMEs (NI-MSME), which imparts entrepreneurial training to small business owners, professionals, and individuals. Meanwhile, concerned ministers in charge of the MSME sectors in the respective countries also discussed and explored the potential areas of cooperation, including the exchange of best practices and their experiences in developing the MSME sector.
