Manufacturing units in multiple micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSME) sectors across India have sought government support for reviving and accelerating their business growth after the negative impact due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This was revealed by the latest quarterly (Q2) survey of manufacturing units conducted by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI).
While some MSMEs have suggested increasing pace of reforms and speedy implementation of various government projects, others want lower rates for raising finance as their Covid-hit manufacturing growth is likely to take at least nine more months to recover.
