Southwest Georgia businesses can now apply for grants under the Backing Small Businesses grant program as Main Street America has extended the last date for receiving applications for grants until April 7. Applications are now open for 350 small business grants of US$5,000 to eligible businesses. The program was created to help economically vulnerable US small business owners recover from the Covid-19 pandemic and grow their businesses. To date, it has provided US$1.65 million in grants to 330 small business owners nationwide. Now in its second year, the program will increase grants awarded and total funding to help small businesses boost their economic vitality.
