The National Enterprise Development Authority (NEDA) in Sri Lanka has unveiled the ‘SME Connect’ online platform to enhance women entrepreneurs’ business skills and knowledge in the MSME segment across the country. ‘SME Connect’ has been designed as a trilingual, mobile-friendly digital platform focusing on the three critical areas of business mentoring, learning, and peer networking. It has been jointly designed and developed by NEDA and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Sri Lanka consultancy and is supported by a grant from the Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative. More than 750 women entrepreneurs from 20 districts of Sri Lanka have already been trained via this project so far.
